I know for a fact that from time to time Naval warships have had drag races on the open sea. I was stationed on board the USS Arthur W. Radford (DD-968) when we raced another vessel of the US Navy. Both ships were side by side, 1 mile apart with the other vessel carrying the Chief of Staff onboard! ( We later raced his gig against our gig around my ship for several laps. A LAMPS helo was the designated starter and served as the finish line. Safety violation? No. Morale Booster? Yes.

I do agree that relief of command should be for her conduct, however it appears that the “drag race was the straw that broke camels back.

I’m updating my Netflix queue. So that’ll be all the “Mad Max” movies, with a side order of “Air Force One” for mood, and “Blade Runner, The Director’s Cut”! Then I’ll finish it off with “Independence Day” for hope.

So. Let’s get out there and arrest some more of those vicious pot smokers. That will solve everything. And besides, that couldn’t happen here. This is America, the land of the (less and less) free (every day).
