Professor Indrek Wichman – First Amendment Hero!

But I for one must salute Professor Indrek Wichman of Michagan State University. Indrek Wichman is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering.
And what was it that brought this man into the public spotlight? He stood up against Muslim Protestors in th form of the Muslim Students Union (MSU). On February 28, 2006 he read in the MSU student newspaper a call to protest the publication of the Muhammad cartoons. On reading about what they were planning on doing, Professor Wichman responded with a letter of his own – the MSU really had stuck a raw nerve in Professor Wichman. His letter to the Muslim Student Association (MSA) is shown below…
Dear Moslem Association:
As a professor of Mechanical Engineering here at MSU I intend to protest your protest. I am offended not by cartoons, but by more mundane things like beheadings of civilians, cowardly attacks on public buildings, suicide murders, murders of Catholic priests (the latest in Turkey!), burnings of Christian churches, the continued persecution of Coptic Christians in Egypt, the imposition of Sharia law on non-Muslims, the rapes of Scandinavian girls and women (called “whores” in your culture), the murder of film directors in Holland, and the rioting and looting in Paris France.
This is what offends me, a soft-spoken person and academic, and many, many, many of my colleagues. I counsel you dissatisfied, aggressive, brutal, and uncivilized slave-trading Moslems to be very aware of this as you proceed with your infantile “protests.”
If you do not like the values of the West–see the 1st Amendment–you are free to leave. I hope for God’s sake that most of you choose that option. Please return to your ancestral homelands and build them up yourselves instead of troubling Americans.

This blogger wants to salute the stand that Professor Indrek Wichman took. And I urge any readers of this blog to see to what efforts behind the scenes that the MSU and MSA, and the staff of Michagan State University – went through to try and shut this guy up. I reminde the reader, that this began back in 2006!
I present Exhibit A, The MSU Provost Office: The MSU Provost told Wichman that if he continued to “harass” and “intimidate” the MSU MSA – while creating a “hostile intellectual climate” – then formal charges consistent with MSU anti-discrimination policy (ADP) would be filed by MSU against him.
One just have to see the effect that is taking place in Euorpe and Great Britain. More and more calls for Shar’ia Law to be imposed in these new countries and here in the United States.
May I suggest that Professor Indrek Wichman (unknowly), has become this generation’s Col. William B. Travis. I just hope Wichman has better luck than Travis.

Thank you for having the courage to say what most Americans will not. I hope the University realizes what a hero they have in you. God bless you ( Regardless of your belief or unbelief; I do) I truly respect you!
i want to thank you for standing up to these people who truly want to destroy our country and the rest of the world. thank you for talking the talk and walking the walk! please run for office. many would vote for you. again i have great respect for a person who stands up to evil and does the right thing.
Sir, I just want to say thank you for speaking the truth about Moslems. As somebody who has lived in Paris, and had to walk through the Moslem neighborhoods, being called a whore, I know full well what is happening there. Those people and their religion would destroy the freedoms of the West if they could, to impose their barbaric customs on the rest of us.
America has free speech, and that includes writing a letter! If they don’t like it, then they need to get out of the USA, Europe, and every other free country.
